Abstract

In this article we address the study that consisted in the realization of two profiles in the crater of the volcano of NS and NE-SW with an approximate length of 515 m and 264 m respectively and three profiles in the valley that is between the two volcanoes of N-S, W-E and N-S at the foot of the volcano with an approximate length of 952m, 1004m and 1008m respectively, to describe the main subsurface structures through their magnetic anomalies. Statistical analysis was used to obtain correlations between magnetic parameters and geological composition to identify the type of rock or minerals that exist. The results of this modeling show the importance of the application of the magnetometer and high performance software in solving geophysical problems, the developed methodology allows modeling geological structures.
