Abstract

This study is based on empirical research conducted in 83 subsidiaries of multinational enterprises (MNEs) established in Argentina, during 2016 and 2017. The objective is to analyze the transfer and adaptation of work management practices through the relationship between the local subsidiary and its parent company. Multiple Correspondence Analysis and cluster analysis are employed to identify groups of firms based on the transfer and diffusion of employment practices. Chi-square tests and standardized residuals are conducted to establish relationships with variables such as country of origin, industry, company size, among others. Some results reveal a low influence of institutional factors on transfers and highlight the diffusion of employee involvement and retention practices.
