Abstract

The Historic Centers of the cities originate the planning of the urban area, which relates various aspects: architectural, cultural, touristic, and social. Being these aspects; the main characteristics to take into account for the integral development of the municipalities. Tourism offers new opportunities for the development of cities, maintaining the architectural heritage is a factor of both municipal and state relevance and through tourism the value of the historical heritage becomes an architectural and cultural attraction. This gave rise to the maintenance of national monuments of the Historic Centers, in order to carry out projects in tune with their colonial architecture.

The City of San Miguel has a Colonial-style Historic Center, which has been gradually occupied by formal and informal vendors.
