Abstract

In El Salvador drug trafficking on a significant scale had its historical genesis through public resources. After the signing of the Peace Accords, operators managed to infiltrate the new institutions that were aimed at providing public safety. Currently, the borders between the two spheres is blurred especially on issues such as financing political parties.
