Abstract

The article proposes a procedure for the formation of professional competences in mechanics B of the Road Earthwork Base Business Unit of the Engineering Works Construction Company ECOI-17 of Holguin, Cuba. In contrast to others consulted, it expresses as scientific novelty the establishment of a dynamic based on the design, development and evaluation of professional training taking into account the theoretical vs. practical integration, from the instructive, educational and developmental dimension of their professional training. It is based on the project-based professional learning method. Documentary analysis was used for the characterization of the theoretical frame and state of the art, systemic approach for the elaboration of the procedure, the pedagogical pre-experiment and the Chi-Square hypothesis test (X2), for its validation. Favorable impacts are shown in a sample of 30 B mechanics of the above-mentioned company, in the improvement of their professional competences, as well as in the productivity and quality of work life of the company, which attest to the scientific novelty of the research.
